Challenges day is in a week from tomorrow, and everything is ready and rearing to go!
Thank you firstly to everyone who has already signed up online, ready to be sponsored by friends and family around the world. There are several challenges that will be running over a 24 hour period on the 21st of July. They are:
- 12 hour famine where students will fast for 12 hours
- 24 hour silence where students will remain silent for 24 hours, communicating only using a pen and paper
- life without luxuries where students will give up one thing or another to make life more complicated, such as chocolate, internet, technology and more!
- long walk to school, where students will go on a long walk around Cambridge to experience what the Ghanian community's mode of transport
- water-carrying activity to experience what children of Ghana do for a chore.
All these activities are meant to reflect the lives lived by the Ghanian school children who are to benefit from the efforts of our fundraising and from the Sabre Charitable Organisation. In light of this, please support the students of the Reach Cambridge Summer School 2010 who are undertaking these challenges by sponsoring them in their efforts. Sponsorship can be done online through links that can be obtained from your friend, son, daughter, brother or sister. Each person has their own sponsorship page that has been set up. Remember, every little bit helps, and we appreciate your support!
Sincerely,
